Kicheche Mara Camp is a classic tented retreat nestled in a picturesque valley within the prime wildlife region of the Mara North Conservancy. The camp’s location is exceptional, with game viewing often starting right within the camp itself. Surrounded by prime wildlife habitats on all sides, it serves as the perfect base for an unforgettable safari experience in the Masai Mara.
The camp’s lounge offers a stunning view down the valley and is equipped with comfortable seating, a library, board games, and local crafts. Meals are served in the dining tent or under the shade of a large Euclea tree, both providing picturesque views of the valley. Guests are treated with warm hospitality by the camp’s attentive hosts and staff, ensuring a personal and welcoming experience. While Wi-Fi is available in the lounge, connectivity can sometimes be unstable.

Kicheche Mara Camp Tents
With just ten tents, the camp ensures an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. All tents overlook the scenic Olare Orok stream and the western escarpment of the valley. For families, the camp features a spacious family suite that accommodates up to five people. This suite includes two separate bedrooms—one double and one twin/triple—each with its own en-suite bathroom. A cozy lounge area, complete with a sofa and a small table, connects the bedrooms and provides a space for private dining, ensuring both comfort and convenience.
In addition to the family suite, triple and quad tents with one double and two single beds are available. Each tent features a spacious en-suite bathroom with running hot and cold water, as well as 24-hour lighting and charging facilities, although the solar-powered system does not support hair dryers. A water dispenser in each tent allows guests to refill their complimentary water bottles, promoting sustainability.
