Night Viewing at The Ark
Aberdare’s best-known experience is night-time game viewing from a tree lodge. The Ark is built overlooking a waterhole and salt lick, lit through the night, so elephant, buffalo and other wildlife can be watched coming to drink after dark, a very different pace from a daytime game drive.

Nyeri itself is Nyeri County’s administrative capital, set among coffee and tea farms with a cool, green climate. It’s a relaxed base before or after an Aberdare stay, and the final resting place of Lord Baden-Powell, whose grave remains a pilgrimage site for Scouts from around the world.
