Elephant Bedroom Camp offers an exquisite blend of luxury and natural beauty, nestled along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Shaded by Doum palms and lush riverine forest, the camp provides a serene retreat within the breathtaking landscape of Samburu National Reserve. This reserve boasts stunning scenery, with arid plains crisscrossed by the winding river and framed by Africa’s dramatic mountains, including the iconic Mt. Kenya.
The camp’s lounge and dining areas feature vibrant safari-inspired décor, complemented by soft, intimate lighting, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxation between thrilling game drives. Regular wildlife visitors to the camp include elephants, monkeys, and impalas. The reserve itself is home to an array of predators such as lions and leopards. Elephant Bedroom Camp Tents
The camp features 14 spacious tents adorned with rustic and vibrant African-inspired décor, offering all the comforts of modern luxury. Each tent includes a private plunge pool on the deck, hot and cold running water, electricity, and complimentary herbal shower and bath products. Guests can relax in the expansive dining and lounge tent, which opens onto a large veranda designed to maximize the stunning views.
Breakfast and lunch are served al fresco along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, shaded by trees, weather permitting. Dinner takes place in the dining area, while private meals can be arranged on the guest’s tent veranda or beneath the stars. The camp serves continental-style cuisine, thoughtfully catering to various dietary requirements. 240V charging facilities are provided in the lounge for guests’ convenience.
